Jyothika’s Ponmagal Vandhal leaked by Tamilrockers hours before it’s OTT release. The latest Tamil film premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 29th May 2020.
As per various reports, Ponmagal Vandhal’s HD Print was leaked on the piracy website for free download. The film stars Jyothika as a lawyer. It is the first Tamil film to have a direct release on an OTT platform.
The film was set for a March 27 release earlier. But because of the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, the release of the film was pushed.

About the Movie – Ponmagal Vandhal
The movie is a court-room drama. The legal drama features a power-packed performance by the actress Jyothika who plays the character of a lawyer in the movie.
The Ponmagal Vandhal narrates the story of an Ooty resident named Petition Pethuraj. He reopens a case from the year 2004 that involved a serial killer Psycho Jyoti. Psycho Jyoti was convicted for kidnapping and murder of multiple children.
Pethuraj’s daughter Venba, the character played by Jyotika, is an amateur lawyer. All the difficulties and oppositions faced by her after she re-opened the case forms the crux of the story.
The film is directed by debutant JJ Frederick and produced by the superstar Suriya. The film stars Jyothika, R. Parthiban, K. Bhagyaraj, Thiagarajan, Pandiarajan, and Pratap Pothen.
